Madagascar signs up to the International Convention for Plant Protection (ICPP)
On May 24, 2006, Madagascar joined the International Convention for Plant Protection (ICPP). This allowed the island to open up to the international market by adhering to the phytosanitary standards set by the Convention. This will undoubtedly give confidence to potential importers of agricultural products from Madagascar.
